TRAFFIC ALERT: One person dies, one injured after crash at Loop 375 and South

UPDATE: Special Traffic Investigators with the El Paso Police Department are responding to a crash in lower valley.
Police confirm one person has died as a result of the single vehicle crash and another was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Southbound Americas Avenue is closed to traffic at Zaragoza as police investigate the crash.
TxDOT reports traffic is being detoured on the turnaround and access to the Zaragoza Port of Entry is not currently affected.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – El Paso Police say all lanes at Americas South and Zaragoza have been shut down after a crash.
It happened before 1 p.m. Sunday.
El Paso Fire say two people were transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police are asking drivers to observe the detour.
