Suit up, cosplayers, and ready your wallets, anime fans. Ani-com and Games 2024 is being held once again in Hong Kong.

Good news for Hong Kong anime, comics, and gaming fans. Ani-com and Games 2024 will take place from July 26 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Expect to see over 140 exhibitors, 650 booths, and 270 “doujin” booths that showcase creative designs at the biggest summer Hong Kong event.

In the previous years, enthusiasts have queued up overnight at the venue. However, the organiser started using a ballot system to cap the daily quota to 300. The same system will continue this year too! Keep reading to find out more details.

For this year’s edition, organisers will also open a new ticket category for children. Priced at HKD 20, it will require the company of an adult. Previously, parents holding a ticket could have two children aged 11 or below enter free of charge.

General admission tickets cost HKD 42. This year, tickets will not be available for sale at the venue except to tourists. Tickets will be available at designated convenience stores starting July 15 while electronic tickets will be available for purchase through the event website.

Cosplayers entering the cosplay event will have to pay a registration fee of HKD 20. Photographers will also have to purchase their own pass for HKD 80. Halls 3B and 3C will specifically be for cosplayers and fans to take photos. The daily quota for cosplayers and photographers will be 3,500 and 300 respectively.

Hong Kong’s biggest event for anime, comics, and gaming fans

Ani-com and Games has been Hong Kong’s biggest gathering for anime, comics, and gaming fans for the last 25 years. It is also one of the most popular events during the summer. Since its inauguration in 1999, the event has evolved to become more international throughout the years.

Last year, there were attendees from more than 30 different countries. One of the highlights of the 25th edition is the Comics Masters Gathering, where eight teams of comic writers and artists from Europe and Shanghai will host demonstrations and workshops. Attendees can also expect 30 comic artists from other parts of the world to participate in a major exhibition.

Of course, what’s an anime gathering without cosplayers? Well-known cosplayers from Japan, Thailand, and Spain will also make appearances.

So, visit the official website for more information on the schedule and ticketing arrangement.
