The sportswear market in Asia is projected to experience an estimated 10 per cent growth between 2023 and 2027, surpassing the growth rate of the rest of the world.

Taking advantage of this increased focus on fitness are Swiss running shoe brand On and France’s Hoka, both of which have opened debut permanent stores in Hong Kong in recent weeks.

On has taken over a 3,000sq ft retail space at Henderson Land’s H Queen’s building in Central, previously occupied by the bakery Dang Wen Li by Dominique Ansel. On’s new store is situated next door to Lululemon, which occupies a 3,620sq ft retail space in the same building.

Meanwhile, another running shoe brand, Hoka, unveiled its inaugural concept store in Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay district. The store is the first of two boutiques the brand is slated to open in Hong Kong, with another location in Mong Kok. Embracing the brand’s distinctive bold blue aesthetic, the new location offers SafeSize’s cutting-edge 3D foot scanning machine, enabling individuals to discover their ideal Hoka fit.
