Kep1er contract extension talks reportedly fail & CJ ENM responds

Kep1er‘s contract extension talks have reportedly failed.

On May 17, reports stated Kep1er will be going their separate ways despite previous news that 7 out of 9 members of the ‘Girls Planet 999‘ project girl group decided to extend their project group contracts. According to multiple insiders, the discussions regarding contract extensions for Kep1er have concluded without agreement. Previously, media outlets speculated Kep1er would reorganize as a 7-member group without Kang Yeseo and Mashiro, but it looks like nothing has been decided.

Following the reports, CJ ENM clarified they’re still in discussion with the members and their labels, stating, “We’re currently in discussion with the members and their respective agencies regarding contract renewals.”

Meanwhile, Kep1er are releasing their first full album ‘Kep1going On‘ on June 3 KST.

Stay tuned for updates.
