Ramón Cruz, president of the Sierra Club, joined Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss Climate Week NYC.
One topic that he wants global leaders to focus on is the Paris Agreement, which sets out a goal to limit global warming. “Unfortunately, the leaders that have come after that haven’t really met the ambitious goals of the Paris Agreement,” he said. “This only builds momentum towards that.”
Cruz, who’s an environmental policy and advocacy expert, previously served as deputy director of Puerto Rico’s environmental regulatory agency.
He also discusses the Inflation Reduction Act, the importance of needing strong climate activists, communication with the government, and the current crisis in Puerto Rico.
