Former VP Pence campaigns with Rebecca Kleefisch
Former Vice President Mike Pence was in Wisconsin Wednesday to campaign with Wisconsin Republican gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Kleefisch. A law enforcement roundtable took place Wednesday morning at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee. “I’m here for one reason and one reason only: Wisconsin and the nation need Rebecca Kleefish to be the next governor of Wisconsin,” Pence said.Kleefisch is locked in a tight battle with Tim Michels to win the Republican nomination. Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to rally with Michels Friday night at the Waukesha County fairgrounds. “When Rebecca asked if I would come in and campaign for her in the waning days of the primary, I said yes in a heartbeat,” Pence said. The Trump-Pence endorsements are being put to the test in other primaries, including this week in Michigan and Arizona.”It’s super important,” Kleefisch said of Pence’s endorsement. “I am proud that he is here today.” Former Gov. Scott Walker also made campaign stops in Wausau and Rhinelander with Kleefisch and Congressman Tom Tiffany on Wednesday, as part of her “Take Back Wisconsin Tour.”
